Abhishek meets CM after remaining aloof from MNREGA protest

• Abhishek Banerjee returns to Kolkata after remaining absent from CM's Red Road protest
• He directly visited the CM at her Kalighat residence after landing, where they had a long meeting 
• Abhishek along with some party MLAs left for Delhi previous week to attend the budget session

Abhishek was missing from Mamata Banerjee's protest stage on Red Road against the lack of central funds. Party leaders at the protest had claimed that Abhishek was busy with other work in Delhi. Some leaders revealed that Abhishek is not healthy. There were various speculations on Abhishek's abscence. Abhishek Banerjee reached Kolkata from Delhi on Tuesday and directly visited the CM at her Kalighat residence soon after landing. There was a long conversation between the two.

Abhishek Banerjee had gone to Delhi last week to attend the budget session and stayed back even after budget presentation. Other party MPs, accompaning him had returned to Kolkata last week, but Abhishek has returned this week. However, according to sources, Abhishek did not come directly to Kolkata from Delhi. He went somewhere else and then later came to Kolkata by helicopter and on Tuesday afternoon he reached the CM residence. 

Reportedly,Abhishek is not healthy. Some sources have revealed that Abhishek was in Delhi for treatment. As per reports, both Abhishek and Mamata have been discussing on various issues. Meanwhile, the state budget session is going on and the budget will be presented on 8th in which many new announcements are likely to be made. Mamata Banerjee too, chose to not attend  'One Country One Election' meeting in Delhi today on grounds of state budget preparation. Sources have also indicated that there are discussion going on between the two leaders regarding upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
